Series; The Storehouse of Loyal Retainers (Chushingura), 1897

The Storehouse of Loyal Retainers - Nobukazu's 1897 "Chushingura" series depicts the popular tale of the 47 ronin and their quest to avenge the death of their master, Lord Hangan. Each lively scene features the main characters in colorful and well-detailed settings, in dramatic confrontations or quiet meditation. These attractive Meiji era designs offer nice images of this classic story of honor and revenge.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Vertical centerfold. Pinholes at corners. Some prints have a couple small holes or small tears at edges. Slight soiling and creasing, a few spots. Please see photos for details. Generally in good condition overall.
