Argument between Noblemen

Comments - Interesting kabuki triptych illustrating an argument between noblemen. At lower left, a young man glares angrily at the older man in the center, holding a message in his outstretched hand. His hair is rather disheveled with locks framing his face and his ponytail uncombed. The gray-haired man in the center looks to the side with a tight-lipped frown, his brows furrowed. Nice large colorful figures, detailed with burnishing in the black court caps and embossing in the older man's white under robe.

Artist - Chikashige (active circa 1869 - 1882)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 28 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
