Meiji Emperor Reviewing Troops, 1896

Comments - Handsome illustration of the Meiji Emperor reviewing troops during military exercises. He rides a white horse, dressed in an elegant black uniform covered with medals and a plumed cap, followed by his generals on horseback. The troops stand at attention at left along the edge of the parade ground. Nicely detailed and colored, with burnishing in the black uniforms.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 28 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight toning, a few spots, a few creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
