Applying Makeup to the Neck - Lovely image from a series presenting beauties as reflected in a black lacquer hand mirror. Here, a young woman applies makeup to the back of her neck, smiling happily. She holds a second mirror in her other hand to see the nape of her neck, an area considered very sensual in Japanese art. A beautiful image with fine line work and delicate detail, not often seen in reprint.
