Battle at a Temple

Comments - Lively scene of a battle taking place at a temple in the countryside. At bottom center, a samurai on a black horse grimaces furiously as he grips his sword above his head with both hands, his opponent tumbling to the ground before him. At right, an archer on horseback reports to a daimyo on a dappled horse, who wears an ornate headdress trimmed with beads, two warrior monks behind him. A border of clouds separates the foreground from the battle continuing on the temple grounds, with archers firing down on attackers from the upper story of the entrance gate. A fantastic image filled with detail.
