Flying Eagle, 1933

Comments - Dramatic image of an eagle in flight as wind and snow slant across the sky. The magnificent bird soars high above the snow-covered pines, its feathers beautifully colored and detailed. This image is thought to be inspired by Hiroshige’s famous print of an eagle in flight, a masterwork from his "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo" series. A striking and powerful design.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Small loss at corner, repaired. Toning, slight soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
