Courtesan Miyagino and Her Sister Shinobu Meet and Plot to Avenge Their Father - Interesting scene of the poignant meeting between Shinobu and her sister Miyagino in the Edo brothel where she worked. Shinobu traveled from the country to tell her sister of their father's murder by the samurai Shiga. The two swore to avenge his death, and after secretly training in the martial arts, challenged Shiga to a duel and killed him. Yoshitoshi shows the tender reunion of the long separated sisters in an elegant interior with a kimono draped on a stand behind a lantern, and hanging scroll in a niche.
