Enjoying the Morning Dew beside Shinobazu Pond, 1892 - Lovely Chikanobu triptych of beauties enjoying an early morning stroll along the banks of Shinobazu Pond, which is filled with lotuses in bloom. In the center, a mother holds the hand of her young child, who smiles delightedly. At right a beauty in beautiful blue and white kimono with embossed detail cuddles a black and white cat. Her companion carries a western style umbrella, while another woman in a straw hat sits on her sandal admiring the view. The large pink and white blossoms in the foreground are delicately embossed, and the water is softly shaded. Trees and buildings appear in silhouette along the horizon, partially hidden by the hazy morning mist, and two egrets fly overhead. A beautiful subject with soft shading.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three attached panels. A few small losses at edge, very small V-shaped tear, repaired. Slight creasing and soiling, light ink offsetting, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
