Courtesan Writing a Letter

Comments - Charming portrait of a courtesan writing a letter, a brush in one hand and a roll of paper in the other. She wears an outer robe bordered with a black geometric print band over a red kimono with a rope pattern, tied with a black and green obi with a bold print. Her hair is pulled back into two loops, adorned with two combs and many hairpins. A classic Edo era beauty portrait.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few holes and thinning areas, repaired. Toning, soiling, slight creasing, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details.
