Americans Enjoying Sunday in Yokohama, 1861

Comments - Great depiction of Americans enjoying a horse and carriage ride on a Sunday in Yokohama. A man relaxes in the carriage with his pipe, wearing a blue jacket and a black top hat, while the driver grips the reins of a lively dappled horse. A dog watches with interest at lower right, and a large Western ship is anchored in the harbor beyond. A handsome design.
