Original Edo era Japanese Woodblock Print
Samurai Subduing a Demon

Comments - Intriguing image of a samurai subduing a red demon, forcing the creature to the ground with a knee on its back. He grips the demon's neck with one hand as he twists its arm back with the other, a look of determination on the young man's face. A gust of wind swirls up at right, while a pine tree, stone lantern, and delicate pink blossoms frames the scene at left. An interesting subject, nicely detailed.
