Bird and Camellia

Series; Birds and Flowers

Bird and Camellia - Lovely image of a bird perched in the middle of a camellia bush, its green feathers almost disappearing into the lush foliage. The variety of green tones adds a sense of depth to the scene, with some leaves in shadow. The bright red blossoms add a lively burst of color to the design. The sky is shaded from soft lilac to light blue-gray, adding interest without taking away from the focus of the print. A rare, double-oban woodblock by Toshi Yoshida that we have never seen before.
