Ommayagashi

The Eastern Capital

Ommayagashi - Terrific Kuniyoshi view of a group of locals walking along Ommaya Embankment of the Sumida River in Edo. Four men are huddled under umbrellas to protect them from the rain, while another walks along the riverbank with just a dotted scarf over his head. Nice detail in the falling rain, with soft shading in the water and sky.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 9 5/8" x 14 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight toning, darkening at top corners. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
