Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of an actor as a beauty, holding a round mirror in her raised hand as she looks back over her shoulder. Her outer kimono is patterned with waterfalls and blossoms, the sleeves pushed down to the waist to reveal a tie-dyed kimono, tied with a geometric print obi. Her hair is pulled back into a smooth bun adorned with a comb and hairpins, with wings at the sides of her face. A rolled up reed blind frames the scene over head. A nicely detailed design, with embossing lines in the waterfalls.
