Beauties Practicing Koto - Lovely Chikanobu triptych of two beauties practicing the koto in an elegant room. A beautiful folding screen patterned with cranes in flight provides an attractive setting, along with graceful flowering branches trailing through the round open window at left. Beautiful detail and coloring in the women's elegant kimono, with fine embossing on the kimono trim and the feathers of the cranes and burnishing in the black fabric. A wonderful subject.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 28"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Three panels, attached at the seams, backed with paper. Slight soiling and offsetting, slight creasing from rolled storage. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
