Comments - Terrific depiction Daikoku and Ebisu, two of Japan's famous Seven Lucky Gods, welcoming mice carrying money to Daikoku's home. He sits at right, grinning happily with his hands outstretched as the animals tuck gold coins inside his white under robe. Another mouse scampers over his leg while others follow behind. Fellow Lucky God Ebisu sits beside him, smiling as he looks up from the book in which he is writing, a brush in hand. Daikoku's never-empty bag of treasure fills the room behind them. A charming design, wonderfully drawn with lively calligraphic line work. A great image of these beloved deities, beautifully detailed with cloth embossing in the bag.
