The Hall of Thirty-three Bays in Fukagawa, circa 1847 - 1852 - Handsome view of the Hall of Thirty-three Bays in Fukagawa. This large, impressive structure was built during the Edo period to encourage martial arts, and archery competitions took place in the long courtyard. An interesting panoramic view, with the city's rooftops stretching out to the sea in the distance. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Vertical centerfold. A few small holes and thinning spots, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, small stain, paper strips along left and bottom edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
