Original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Print
Sumo Wrestler

Comments - Handsome portrait of a sumo wrestler outside the ring. He holds the collar of his under robe with one hand while drying the side of his face with a white towel. He wears a plaid coat over a striped kimono edge with a blue floral print, tied with a blue and white checked obi, two swords tucked at his side. A nice design.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14" x 9 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. A few small wormholes, repaired. Slight toning, paper slightly curled. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
