Fall Harvest by Tokuriki Tomikichiro (1902 - 1999)

Original Tokuriki Tomikichiro (1902 - 1999) Japanese Woodblock Print
Fall Harvest

Series; Eight Views of Mt. Fuji

From the Uchida Publisher Archives - We were fortunate to purchase a wonderful collection of 20th century prints directly from the archives of the Uchida Art Company of Kyoto. The classic 20th century prints offered in our auction from this collection are all first edition prints of various designs released by the Uchida company in the mid-20th century. These first edition prints are unusual to come by in a nice group as they were generally sold off as they were produced. This excellent collection was held back and recently sold from the Uchida archives. These prints are a nice opportunity to collect a lovely 20th century print, or perfect as reasonably priced gifts. Don't miss out on these prints, once they sell out, we won't have them again!

Fall Harvest - Handsome view of the fall harvest with the snow-capped peak of Mt. Fuji rising majestically in the distance. This design is a later edition based on "Fuji from Honen" from Tokuriki's earlier "Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji," with a few slightly different details, such as two telephone poles on the hillside instead of three. An interesting variation of this subject.

Artist - Tokuriki Tomikichiro (1902 - 1999)

Image Size - 15" x 10 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail. Some light toning and a few faint spots, a couple tears and small creases along edges. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
