Series; Current Manners in Eastern Brocade

Mother and Baby and Beauty after a Bath - Charming depiction of a mother playing with her baby, lifting the child up with both hands as she sits on the floor. A toy drum and drumstick rest on the floor at lower left. The beauty standing at left watches with interest as she dries the side of her face with her kimono sleeve, having just returned from a bath. Intricately patterned robes are draped over the folding screen at right. An attractive scene of a private moment.
