47 Ronin, Act 7: The Ichiriki Teahouse - Great illustration of Yuranosuke at the Ichiriki Teahouse from Act 7 of the "Kanadehon Chushingura," the drama based on the true story of the 47 ronin. Pretending to lead a debauched life so that no one will suspect him of planning a vendetta against Lord Moronao, Oboshi Yuranosuke accepts an invitation to the Ichiriki Teahouse by Moronao's retainer, Ono Kudayu. There, he acts the fool, drinking and playing a game of Blind Man's Bluff with the geisha. Blindfolded, he steps ahead with outstretched arms as the beauties at lower right clap. Nicely composed.
