Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a couple outside at night. The young man looks up at the sky with a grimace, his brows furrowed, gripping his sword at his side. His red outer kimono has been pushed down, revealing a kimono patterned with unrolling scrolls tucked into gray pants with floral medallions. The beauty kneels beside him, watching warily over her shoulder as she waves her kimono sleeve. She has a striped apron tied over her blue and gray print kimono, tied with a black obi that reverses to a red tie-dyed design. Behind them, a fence of pointed bamboo rises above a grassy slope with a rocky base. An intriguing image, nicely detailed with burnishing in the obi and black kimono collar.
