Original 19th century Japanese Woodblock Print
Travelers at Enoshima

Comments - Handsome scene of travelers stopping for a break along the shore at Enoshima. A beauty prepares to emerge from the palanquin at left, her kimono trailing on the ground before her. In the center, a woman holding a pipe shields her eyes with her hand as she looks up. The man at right uses a towel to pat dry the back of his neck. Waves lap against the beach, and a narrow spit of land leads out to the rugged island, a torii gate at the base. A charming Edo era image, attractively colored and detailed.

Artist - 19th century artist (unsigned)

Image Size - 9" x 6 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight soiling, a few creases, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
