Series; Views of the Famous Sights of Japan

Cape Kannon, 1897 - Handsome view of Cape Kannon in Kanagawa. Men rowing a boat on the rough water are dwarfed by the steep rocky promontory, which is topped with the first Western style lighthouse built in Japan in 1868. A few gulls flutter around the side of the outcropping, and the sky is shaded with a soft orange glow along the horizon as the sun sets. An attractive design with pleasing color.

Artist - Kiyochika (1847 - 1915)

Image Size - 13 3/8" x 8 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight toning and creasing, a few tiny spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
