Zoshigaya: The Myogaya Restaurant, circa 1838 - 1840 - Handsome scene of the Myogaya Restaurant in Zoshigaya, with the entrance gate opening onto a courtyard garden. Patrons enjoy a view from the upper stories as beauties stroll beneath the tall trees in the foreground. A nicely detailed design from Hiroshige's rarely seen "Famous Restaurants of Edo" series. The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston has this image in its collection.
