The Ghost of Kohada Koheiji

Series; One Hundred Ghost Stories

The Ghost of Kohada Koheiji - Absolutely incredible depiction of the ghost of Kohada Koheiji returning to haunt his murderous wife. Killed by his wife and her lover, Koheiji appears as a hideous leering skull with bloodshot eyes, his bony fingers pulling down the mosquito netting surrounding the lovers in their bed. Based on a true story, the novel "Bizarre Tale of Revenge at Asaka Marsh" was turned into a popular kabuki play. A fantastic supernatural subject, finely printed during the Meiji era.
