Much like the style of the prints, the demand for ukiyo-e in the cities of
Oban Kabuki Triptychs by Sadanobu - Handsome example of a kabuki triptych by Sadanobu in the rare oban format. Most kamigata-e or prints produced in the Osaka region are chuban size, so larger format works are unusual. Sadanobu's figures are drawn with keen expressions, dressed in elegantly detailed clothing set off by rich jewel-tone colors. The bright backgrounds provide a nice contrast to the actors. A great opportunity to collect an oban print by this prolific Osaka artist.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Vertical folds. Separation and small losses along fold in left panel, a few holes, repaired. Slight soiling, paper remnants, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
