Courtesan Painting Fans - Lovely depiction of a courtesan painting fans, pausing to look up over her shoulder. She sits next to a low black lacquer table covered with a cloth, with blank folding fans, shallow dishes of pigment, an ink stone, and other supplies spread out before her. She wears a tan outer kimono with a design of three dimensional gourds and vines, her hair pulled back into two loops adorned with tortoiseshell combs and hairpins bearing the same crest as her kimono. An inset at upper right features ships anchored near the shore with a view of Mt. Fuji in the distance. A charming Edo era design from this rarely seen artist.

Image Size - 14 7/8" x 10 1/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small thinning spot, a few small holes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
