Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Hotei Ichiemon - Handsome kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Hotei Ichiemon in the play Mimasu mimasu karigane Soga," cradling a baby to his chest and looking up at the full moon with eyes wide, his brows slightly furrowed. A green and white plaid robe with an orange and red print collar is draped over the shoulders of his voluminous tan and white kimono, and he has a white cloth tied about his neck. The young child wears a kimono with bands of blue-green floral and red tie-dyed fabrics. An expressive figure, nicely composed to fill the page, with strong wood grain impression in the night sky.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Stitching holes at left edge from previous binding, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and rubbing, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
