Selection of Wigs

Comments - Fascinating depiction of an array of Meiji era wigs. Two beauties chat below, perhaps discussing the modern hairstyles illustrated above. The seated woman wears a violet kimono with a red tie-dyed collar over a pink patterned under robe, her hand resting atop a slender pipe. A vase of flowers rests on the table next to her, with a large rectangular mirror between the figures. An intriguing look at changing styles for women during the Meiji era.

Artist - Kuniteru II (1829 - 1874)

Image Size - 14" x 9 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A few wormholes, repaired. Light toning, slight creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
