Beauties Sewing and Child Playing with a Cat

Comments - Charming depiction of upper-class beauties sewing, the woman in the center sitting on a cushion with a length of cloth in one hand and a ruler in the other. She smiles happily as she looks over her shoulder at a young child playing with a cat. A sewing chest rests on the floor nearby, along with a pair of scissors. The woman at right carries a striped kimono, the fabric trailing on the floor in front of her. Lovely color and detail in the elegant fabrics. An attractive scene, nicely detailed with embossing in the cat's fur and burnishing in the black areas of the obi. We've only offered this subject once before.
