A Woman after the Bath and a Black Dog

Series; Comparison of the Charms of Alluring Women

A Woman after the Bath and a Black Dog - Wonderful scene of two beauties in a traditional bathhouse. One is seated in a deep wooden tub washing her back. Her companion has put on a tie-dyed cotton kimono after her bath, drying the side of her neck with her sleeve as she watches a small black pet dog wandering about the room. A charming design with nice detail in the interior setting.

Artist - Kiyonaga (1752 - 1815)

Image Size - 14" x 9 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants and thinning on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Slight toning, a few light creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
