6 mm Watanabe Reprint - This beautiful woodblock was published by the Watanabe Company and bears the important Watanabe round 6 mm seal. These old Watanabe prints are some of the finest woodblock reprints ever done. Watanabe began using the 6 mm seal after World War II ended, and it was in use from 1946 to 1957. These terrific Watanabe reprints are a wonderful way to collect a masterwork from the Edo era at an affordable price.

47 Ronin, Act 8: The Bridal Journey - Wonderful scene of the bridal journey from the kabuki play "Kanadehon Chushingura," based on the famous tale of the 47 ronin. Here the lovely young Konami and her mother, Tonase, pause for a moment during their journey to Yuranosuke's estate near Kyoto. In the background, the magnificent Mt. Fuji rises high above the wooded mountains, framed by a tall pine tree covered with colorful vines. A beautiful image, nicely detailed with rich color and soft shading in the sky and ground. A subject rarely seen in reprint.
