Washday

Comments - Attractive design of young women enjoy a pleasant afternoon on a verandah. One woman kneels before a stand mirror, dressing her hair, still in a light cotton kimono from her bath. A red tie-dyed obi is hung to dry from a tree in the garden, evidence of the washday taking place. A lovely scene from daily life with fine detail and soft color.
