Baby and Toy Rabbit

Comments - Attractive scene of a mother holding her young son in her arms. The baby reaches eagerly for a toy rabbit with a bobbing head held by a man sitting at left. A screen behind him is patterned with a rooster. The beauty's hair is freshly washed, combed back over her shoulders to dry, and she wears a blue and white kimono with a design of mandarin ducks and waves. A charming image with a silver mica background. We've never seen this subject in reprint before.

Artist - Utamaro (1750 - 1806)

Image Size - 9 1/2" x 14 5/8" + margins as shown
