Comments - Lovely triptych depicting beauties catching fireflies and enjoying the evening cool alongside a river. At left, a young girl fans her fan excitedly at the insects glowing in the night sky. In the center, a beauty carries an ornate cage for the captures fireflies. Her kimono is shaded from gray to warm yellow and patterned with red flowers and green leaves, tied with a black brocade obi. The woman at right kneels beside the water, gesturing with her hand as she smiles back at her companion. A beautiful summer scene with fine bokashi shading in the sky and water.
