Shinobu Avenging Her Father's Death

Comments - Terrific scene of the young beauty Shinobu fighting to avenge her father's death. After learning that her father had been murdered by the evil Shiga Danshichi, Shinobu and her sister Miyagino swore to avenge his death. After secretly training in the martial arts, they challenged Shiga to a duel. Shinobu wields a sickle attached to a chain, attempting to entangle the samurai's sword as he thrusts it at her. She wears a blue kimono, the sleeves tied back out of the way with a darker blue sash, a sword tucked into her black obi. Noblemen are gathered to watch along the edge of the arena enclosed by a bamboo fence. A nice portrait of this young female hero.
