Kurosawa Tokijo, 1886 - Attractive portrait of Kurosawa Tokijo, a farmer's wife, pausing outside a temple during a trip to Kyoto. She carries a slender bamboo walking staff and a woven straw hat, and wears an intricately patterned green and blue kimono with a black collar. A large paper lantern is sheltered under a small roof behind her next to a tall wooden pillar. A nicely detailed subject with fine line work in the hair and burnishing in the black collar.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A couple small losses and thinning spots at edges, repaired. Toning, a few small spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
