Toshi Yoshida's Abstract Prints - After the death of his father in 1950, Toshi Yoshida began a period of experimentation with abstract woodblock print designs. These works feature bold, abstract shapes and lines, complemented by sophisticated color and wonderful textures. Toshi Yoshida created nearly 300 abstract prints, the majority of these from the mid-1950s through the 1960s, many of them published in small, limited editions. These dramatic prints have a distinctly modern, graphic appeal, and show another side of Toshi's amazing creativity.
