Visiting a Garden, 1849 - Lovely triptych of beauties visiting a garden at the edge of a lake. A woman relaxes on a bamboo bench at left, as attendants carry black lacquer boxes towards her. A young girl follows at right carrying a small water pitcher, while the girl standing at left holds a tobacco set. The women are dressed in elegant kimono, the beauty's hair arranged with clusters of tiny blue flowers and ribbons. Oversize peony blossoms frame the view of the water beyond, with pine branches overhead. A beautiful design with fine detail, including embossing in the white kimono trim and soft shading in the sky.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 28 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. A few small holes, a few tiny losses at edges, repaired. Creasing, slight rubbing near edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
