Attacking a Chinese Camp

Comments - Dramatic scene from the Sino-Japanese War of Japanese troops attacking a Chinese camp. In the center, a Japanese soldier struggles with an enemy kneeling on the ground, each grabbing at the other's throats. At right, a fellow soldier rushes up to assist his compatriot, gripping his sword high above his head with both hands. Behind him, an officer on horseback raises his weapon to urge his men forward in the attack. At left, a Chinese soldier lies on the ground in front of a tent, a flag draped across his body. Nicely detailed with fine bokashi shading in the sky and clouds of smoke.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 14" x 27 1/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with paper. Slight soiling, a few spots, slight rubbing and a few creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
