Cherry Blossoms at Night in the Yoshiwara, circa 1843 - 1844 - Terrific springtime view of the bustling Yoshiwara district during the cherry blossom season. Elegant courtesans and their small attendants stroll along, some accompanied by servants carrying paper lanterns. Guests look down from the second story verandahs of the teahouses on either side of the entrance gate. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection. A charming scene with lovely color.

Image Size - 8 1/2" x 13 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Loss at lower left edge, a few smaller losses at edges, a few small holes and thinning spots, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
