Enjoying the Evening Cool on the Banks of the Sumida River

Comments - Lovely image of beauties enjoying a cool evening on the banks of the Sumida River in Edo. One woman sits on a bench, her sandal kicked off and her knee drawn up beside her as she looks out over the water. She wears a sheer black kimono over a red under robe, tied with a red obi. The tea stand waitress at left carries a small tray, a towel draped over her shoulder and a green apron tied around her waist. A charming summer scene, drawn with graceful flowing line work.

Image Size - 15" x 10 1/8" + margins as shown
