Confrontation between Samurai, 1889

Comments - Handsome kabuki triptych depicting a confrontation between two samurai. The young warrior at right raises a sword high above his head as the older man in the center thrusts a fan at him accusingly. Another samurai watches solemnly at left, a tea bowl in his hand, standing behind a screen with a fantastic pattern of a dragon emerging from swirling clouds and red flames. Great expressive figures in a nicely detailed setting with lively color.

Artist - Kunisada III (1848 - 1920)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 28 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight creasing. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
