Autumn Moon at Ishiyama Temple, 1847 - 1852 - Beautiful night scene of Prince Genji standing along the rocky shore of a stream at night. The nobleman tugs at the collar of his kimono, grinning as he looks over his shoulder. A flare burns in the metal container at his feet, sending up orange flames, the pigment oxidized to a dark gray tone. A charming design with soft bokashi shading in the water and sky.
