Beauty Holding a Covered Pot Kakemono, circa late 1830s

Comments - Charming kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty holding a covered pot, smiling as she looks back over her shoulder. Her blue kimono is patterned with blossoms and Genji symbols, tied with a dark green brocade obi with ornate floral medallions. Her hair is pulled back into a smooth knot tied with a white ribbon, adorned with a single hairpin featuring clusters of tiny flowers. A lovely Kuniyoshi beauty portrait.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. A few small wormholes, repaired. Toning, slight soiling and rubbing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
