Oshichi and Kichisaburo at the Gameboard - Attractive image of the young beauty Oshichi playing a game with the temple page, Kichisaburo, with whom she has fallen in love. They are playing a game similar to badminton called ban-sugoroku (board sugoroku), Oshichi smiling coyly as she looks fondly at her sweetheart. She wears a lovely kimono shaded from purple to pale pink, bordered with cherry blossoms and leaves. A charming image rarely seen in reprint, detailed with bokashi shading and fine line work in the hair.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Light toning, slight soiling and creasing, a couple small rubbed spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
