Yatsuhashi of the Okadaya, 1865 - Charming portrait of the beauty Yatsuhashi of the Okadaya, smiling as she watches a white cat playing on her kimono where it trails on the ground behind her. Her kimono is shaded from deep blue to white and bordered with a scene of waterfalls, rugged rocks, and chrysanthemums, worn over a red tie-dyed under robe with a floral collar and trim. Shelves behind her hold elegant lacquer boxes, a tobacco set, an offering tray with red sake cups, and a stack of books. An attractive design with wonderful detail, nicely colored.
