Shirasuka: The Legend of Onnya, circa 1845 - 1846 - Handsome portrait of a young beauty on a verandah overlooking the water at Shirasuka. She leans against a wooden post, deep in thought, her arms wrapped about her chest as she contemplates a loved one. Incense burns on a small stand behind her, sending a wisp of smoke into the night sky. A classic Hiroshige landscape with the full moon hanging low above the bay and tiny white sails visible on the horizon.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with paper. Slight separation at ends of horizontal centerfold, repaired. Slight creasing and soiling, slight rubbing near edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
