Kasumigaseki, 1854 - Interesting scene of the bustling Kasumigaseki district in Edo, as pedestrians, merchants, and laborers make their way through the streets. In the center, a porter carrying two young pine trees from a yoke over his shoulder, ready to transplant, while at left, a young child holds a pole with a toy octopus dangling from it. Daimyo's mansions line the road and the steep hill at center. An attractive design, nicely detailed.

Artist - Hiroshige (1797-1858)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 28 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels, backed with paper. Holes and thinning spots, a few losses, most repaired. Toning, rubbing, and soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
